Sony officially revealed the release date for their dual screen, multi-functional tablet, the Sony Tablet P. Customers looking to pick up the tablet can do so on March 4 for $399.99 with a two-year agreement at any AT&T store or online. Without a contract, the Tablet P will cost $549.99
The Sony Tablet P has a clamshell design and features dual screens. The tablet will feature two 5.5-inch displays that can be used independently, if desired. Customers will be able to combine the displays into a single, large screen for use. For extra convenience, users could fold the tablet and fit it into a pocket, purse, or bag.
When launched, the Sony Tablet P will run Android Honeycomb OS (3.2) and will support both Wi-Fi and HSPA+ 4G, but not LTE. The tablet will be powered by a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor. It will also sport a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, a microUSB hub, and will have 1 GB of internal memory.
When announced late last year, we were able to get a hands-on preview with the Sony Tablet P, which you can check out here.
