Sony‘s follow-up to the Xperia Tablet Z (pictured at right) is on the way, and it’ll come with some expected spec bumps when it gets here. That’s according to the typically-reliable @evleaks, who writes today that the Xperia Tablet Z 2 will pack a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM.
The forthcoming slate is said to have the same 10.1-inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display as before, as well as the same 6,000mAh battery and 8- and 2-megapixel cameras.
The device is said to be slightly thinner than the already-slim Xperia Tablet Z, however, reportedly coming in at 6.4mm rather than 6.9mm. Evleaks also claims that it’ll be waterproof, which should come as no surprise seeing that it’s a Sony device, and that it’ll come with Android 4.4 (KitKat) right out of the box.
Sony’s expected to unveil the Xperia Tablet Z 2 at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow next week.
