Sprint Not Selling BlackBerry PlayBook Yet

Sprint has been all over the place in regards to its launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook. But it looks like the carrier still hasn’t worked things out, with the postponement of the planned May 8 release.

Sprint first had designs on retailing the PlayBook in mid-April, pushed it back to May, and has now delayed it indefinitely. This news was leaked by the release of an internal company document which stated “The launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet has been delayed for all Dealers. The new launch date will be communicated as soon as it is available.”

In addition to the PlayBook, Sprint should also eventually be carrying the as-of-yet unreleased BlackBerry PlayBook 4G. It will be available sometime this summer, most likely June, and will have the capacity for a 4G data connection (unlike the current iteration of the PlayBook, which just sports Wi-Fi).

The full text of the leaked internal document can be found below.
