It’s official — the HTC Flyer’s twin with 4G capabilities has finally launched. The HTC EVO View 4G is now available at Sprint stores across the country. As a bonus, the HTC Scribe digital pen is available at no cost for a limited time.
The HTC Flyer received a lot of flak for not shipping with a pen included, and customers wondered why they should spend hundreds of dollars on a tablet which was mainly marketed for its unique pen-compatibility, and then have to pay another $80 to purchase said pen. Sprint is remedying this issue, at least for some period of time, including the $80 digital pen at no additional cost. Sprint says this offer will continue “while supplies last.”
Aside from a color inversion from white the black and 4G capabilities, the EVO View 4G is identical to the Flyer that came before it. Like the Flyer, it features a seven-inch 1024 x 600 display, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor, and unconfirmed reports that it will one day sport Honeycomb, but ultimately coming to launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the HTC Sense UI.
The HTC EVO View 4G costs $400 with a two-year agreement from Sprint. Data plans start at $35 per month for 3 GB of 3G data and unlimited 4G. It is currently available.
