If you’re looking for a cheap, wallet-friendly 3G tablet, Sprint may have you covered. A report claims that Sprint will be releasing the ZTE Optik through its online store on Feburary 5 and in-stores on March 11.

Customers will have to pay $99 for the 7-inch tablet with a two-year contract. It will ship with Android Honeycomb (3.2) and will run a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Specifications for this affordable tablet are pretty basic. The ZTE Optik will have 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 4000mAh battery. Those looking to take photos will be able to use a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. Users will also be able to use the tablet as a mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices.

According to advertisements, customers of the Optik will be able to purchase a smart cover for the phone. The ZTE Optik smart cover will function much like the iPad 2 Smartcover as it protects the screen of the device through a magnetic closure. It also converts to a stand that enables users to view the tablet however they like. The case will be available for $44.99 on Feburary 27.
