Tablet Users Consume Much More Data than Smartphone Users

Bytemobile, Inc. published its quarterly Mobile Analytics Report for May 2012 and showed that carrier networks process three times more data for tablets than smarphones.

ByteMobileIn addition, the report showed that users engage in 160% more mobile web usage per session from tablets than from smartphones. It also showed that Apple iPad subscribers browse 33 web pages per session, generating more data than iPhone users.

Forrester Research predicts that at least a third of the U.S. adults will own a tablet by 2016, about 112 million people.
