Tablets Reappear in the Mainstream Market
On doing my rounds at the usual favorite Computer/Technology store chains, I have noticed a favorable addition in several stores. At both COMPUSA and Circuit City, I noticed the Toshiba Port g M200 Models appearing on display at both stores. Thumbing through this week’s circular from Best Buy, I was happily surprised to see the Toshiba Tablet PC has made it’s way into the ad. I may be out on a limb here, but I am going to make my prediction of a series of events in the Tablet PC’s revolution now:
1. April 2004, Tablet PC’s (convertible models) begin to appear more frequently in mainstream retail.
2. June 2004, With the release of Windows XP Tablet Edition 2004, mainstream media starts to capture stories on the emerging “Tablet PC”.
3. June-October 2004, We will see a big push from PC manufacturers with new Tablet PC convertible models showing up in droves.
Well that is my prediction. It will be fun to see what happens. If you have your own thoughts, please post them in response to this story! It would be fun to hear from the readers and visitors regarding your predictions.
