Amazon has accidentally revealed all the details of what is likely to be the first Windows 8 tablet with a mid-size display, the Acer Iconia W3.
The Iconia W3 will run the full version of Windows 8 on an Intel dual-core processor… the speed of this chip has not yet been revealed, though. There will be 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
Its 8.1-inch screen is going to have a 1280 x 800 resolution. Microsoft recently reduced the minimal screen resolution for Windows 8 tablets to allow devices just like this one to be produced.
This model will have Wi-Fi b/g/n, a single USB port, and an 8-hour battery life. Overall, it will be 1.1lbs and measure in at 8.6 x 5.3 x 0.5 inches.
The W3 is apparently going to cost just $380, significantly cheaper than most rival Windows tablets.
Exactly when it’s going to be released is not yet known.
