While we have no idea when this device will (if ever) come to market in the USA, what we did see was more exciting innovation in the way of the Tablet PC platform. Of course if you read the recent feature we posted on the upcoming Toshiba M400 Tablet PC, then you can surely appreciate the development and significant performance boosts in Tablet PC models going forward.

Please enjoy the photos and information we are posting here on Toshiba’s detachable display Tablet PC at CES. Along the way keep in mind that we have even more exciting news coming!

The unit in the “seperated” state. The response between the base and display is amazingly fast. There is no lag whatsoever.

The base is somewhat similar to the M200/400 Tablet PC models.

We liked the display as well. In fact the best part is how lightweight it is. It would be a pleasure to simply carry this around when the keyboard and drives are not needed.

Um, (shh), it says exactly this: “Hold it in your hands and bring it anywhere in the house. DLNA certification allows users to view their AV content throughout the home on the detachable display (client) from the base PC (server) or other DLNA certified devices.”
