Toshiba Hits the Airwaves with Tablet PC AD Featuring the New R15!
Toshiba’s TV Commercial Stars the Brand New Satellite R15 Tablet PC.
It still never ceases to amaze me that many mainstream desktop and notebook PC users still have no awareness of the Tablet PC platform. Perhaps it is just too easy to just whisk by the lonely endcap at COMPUSA that has the Toshiba M200 and Averatec C3500 convertible Tablet PC’s on display in plain view.
Or maybe this phenomenon is due to the overstimulation one faces upon entering a retail computer store. These days you will find that when you enter your favorite brick and mortar reatil store, the vibrations and sonic boom eminating from the big screen tv’s pushing mega-watt sub woofers are the first thing you notice. Or perhaps the 30″ Apple display with sequencing 3D games easily distracts you from noticing those two lonely Tablet PC’s calling out to perspective notebook shoppers: “Look at ME!!!!!”
Ok, let’s not get too excited. This is not what you will see on the new Toshiba TV ad, but if you treat yourself to the all new Battlestar Galatica series on the SCI-FI Channel, you may just catch the Tablet PC Ad at the commercial break!
It’s time for a change to increase consumer awareness of the Tablet PC and it looks as though Toshiba is taking this campaign quite seriously. With Toshiba’s new aggressively priced Satellite R15 convertible Tablet, Toshiba is hitting the airwaves depicting a refreshing new look at computing. Those of you who watch the Sci-Fi Channel, MSNBC and others can catch the newest and most exciting new Techno TV spot of all for the Tablet PC by Toshiba.

This first TV campaign is a great sign that the Tablet PC demand will continue to grow in popularity. What does that mean for you? For starters, more competition in pricing, variability in models and software titles to make your experience on the Tablet PC continue to evolve and become the best it can be.
