We were disappointed when the Galaxy Tab shipped out with a $400 sticker price and data contract, thinking it could have been more competitively priced to compete with the iPad.
It seems US Cellular belatedly addressed our concerns, because the number five carrier of the five offering the Android tablet has just lowered to the Galaxy Tab price of $200 with a two-year agreement.
The data plans run $55 per month for 5 GB of data and pay-as-you-go messaging at $.25 a pop, and $75 per month for 5 GB of data and unlimited messaging.
The unsubsidized Tab still runs $600, and $100 of the discount is in the form of a mail-in rebate.
Earlier this week, T-Mobile dropped the Galaxy Tab price down to $350 with a two-year agreement.
