The tx2000 has been receiving good reviews since it’s release and I must say now that is has an active digitizer, I too give it a thumbs up.

The HP tx2000 is a convertible Tablet PC notebook that comes equipped with an AMD Turion 64X 2 processor. The tx2000 has both a touchscreen and Wacom digitizer, which is an upgrade from its predecessor, the tx1000, which only had a passive screen. The tx2000 is still an entertainment tablet great for watching DVDs or listening to music. It features plenty of multi-media buttons, a remote control and Altec Lansing speakers. It’s packed full of features and has a great starting price point, so it comes as no surprise how popular it is.
Pros: This is a great machine. It is fun and easy to use. It has plenty of speed, the webcam and remote are fun to play with, and Quickplay is able to play my karaoke files. The heat coming off of this machine with the TL-64 (Tyler 65nm) is the same as a Dell Latitude C630C with a C2D T7250 processor. The touchscreen and active digitizer are able to play age of empires 3 and rappelz.
Cons: Fingerprints everywhere due to the glossy finish. Placement of the fan exhaust points the heat at you if you hold it in slate mode and against your stomach. HP should have upgraded the Graphic processor to the Nvidia 7000 series at least.. instead of holding on to the Nvidia 6150 graphics.
Pros: Almost everything. I have the upgraded model containing the 2.4GHz processor, 250GB hard drive, and 2GB RAM. Best feature is how accurate the screen is in tablet mode. Also it is fast and for the price very worth the money.
Cons: Battery life is a little short (I have the 8-cell battery), and some bloatware installed like Norton, is annoying.
Real eye opener, I bought this for personal and work use. Now I’m a tablet convert
Pros: The tx2000 is small, portable, has a great keyboard, webcam, and full media center remote.
Cons: Battery life from my 4-cell battery isn’t very good. Not much software included for tablet use either.
Worth the buy
Pros: The tx2000 series comes after the tx1000 series followed by tx1100, tx1200 and the tx1300. It was a much needed improvement. The metallic keyboard is better than the black one on the tx1000 series. The touchpad and scroll are better than the tx1000 series too. The tx2000 comes with two battery options an 8-cell (4hrs+ backup) and 4-cell (2hrs+ backup). The removable DVD-RW drive has very good sound clarity.
Cons: It doesn’t have an HDMI or IEEE port like the other hp dv2000 model notebooks. The screen isn’t very clear either, but it is a tablet so the graininess prevents it from looking like the standard HP notebooks.
Pros: Overall very nice computer. It’s fast, perfect for presentations, and great for taking notes in college classes. Clear HD screen that’s perfect for movies in car, train or plane… WOW!
Cons: The battery life could be longer to make this the best portable entertainment tablet on the market.
