With CES less than a week away, Velocity Micro has announced two new Android tablets to get a head start on its competitors. The new additions include the 7-inch Velocity Micro Cruz T507 and the 9.7-inch Cruz T510.
The 7-inch Cruz T507 will have a 1.2GHz ARM A8 processor and 512MB DDR3 RAM. The tablet will contain 8GB of internal storage and has an HDMI out. The Cruz T507 will have a front-facing camera and the Amazon Appstore for Android support. The new Cruz T507 will also ship with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
The 9.7-inch Cruz T510 isn’t much different than the Cruz T507 outside of the screen size. Internally, both tablets are similar. The Cruz T510 will closely resemble an iPad 2, complete with 4:3 aspect ratio. It will also ship with a 1.2GHz ARM A8 processor, 512MB DDR3 RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a front-facing camera, and Amazon Appstore for Android support. Like the T507, it will also run Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
Both tablets, however, will not have Android Market access.
The T507 will go for $150, and while a price has not been released for the T510, it’s a good bet that it will be more expensive than the T507.
