After blurry pictures of what may be the Motorola Xoom 2 Android tablet surfaced last month, a new leak from Verizon’s internal system adds more fuel to the rumors.
The device is currently known as the Motorola MZ617 and, according to that leaked list from Verizon, we should be looking forward to a variety of flavors from the tablet. If this list holds true, the 10.1-inch Xoom 2 will be offered in 16, 32 and 64GB models, though not much else is known about this mystery slate. As previously reported, the sequel to Motorola’s first tablet is said to have an HDMI and microUSB port, as well as a SIM card slot and a single button on the back. While owners of the original Xoom 3G finally received that highly-anticipated 4G upgrade, it appears the Xoom 2 will only be offered in 4G models, as no Wi-Fi-only versions were identified on the list.
In addition, another device made an appearance in Verizon’s systems, currently dubbed the MZ609. Said to be available in 16 and 32GB versions, the MZ609 will apparently be a smaller “media edition” of the Xoom 2.
