ViewSonic has just introduced a budget-friendly 7-inch tablet set to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The ViewPad E70 will retail for $170, one of the lowest prices on the market for an ICS-equipped slate. Packing a 1GHz processor, the ViewPad E70 will ship with 4GB internal storage and is expandable to hold up to 32GB of space thanks to a micro SD card slot. Additionally, the tablet will also feature an HDMI out, a front-facing camera and have a screen resolution of 800 x 400, which is about two-thirds few pixels than most 7-inch tablets.
ViewSonic is remaining coy about all the specs, but the ViewPad E70 won’t be equipped with the Android Market or other Google Applications. According to ViewSonic, the compact slate will include “integrated apps and services,” such as mobile apps and multimedia content. The ViewPad E70 will be available in late Q1, but we will be sure to make our way to ViewSonic’s table to take a look at this ICS-enabled tablet.
