If the rumors are true, Berlin and IFA are going to be tablet central.
The latest devices slotted for an IFA unveiling are the Android-powered ViewSonic ViewPad 7 and an unnamed ViewSonic ten-inch tablet dual-booted with Windows and Android, the UK’s TechRadar reports.
TechRadar quotes a ViewSonic release, claiming, “The ViewPad 7, a 7-inch Android tablet with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, access to thousands of applications and front and back-facing cameras will be previewed for the first time in Europe.”
TabletPCReview could not find the release or any reference to the ViewPad on ViewSonic’s website.
TechRadar also cites the press release as revealing the ViewPad 7 will sport GPS, MicroSD slot, G-sensor and USB port.
In addition to the ViewPad 7, TechRadar mentions an unnamed 10-inch tablet the site claims will have an Intel processor and both “Microsoft and Android operating systems.”
Currently, there is no information on which Microsoft OS the 10-inch ViewPad will run, or which processor. It seems TabletPCReview will have to wait until IFA kicks off on September 3.
