Toshiba Encore Mini

This low-cost consumer-oriented device has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. It runs the full version of Windows 8.1 on an Intel Atom processor. The manufacturer says the device is designed for “browsing, book reading, and staying entertained on the go.” This tablet comes equipped with 16 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports 128 GB SDXC cards.

The device comes with a one-year subscription to Office 365 allowing users to work with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files.

The Encore Mini weighs 12.5 ounces and is 0.43 inches thick. It has a Micro USB port, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, a front webcam, microphone, and a 2-megapixel back camera.
