The HP Omni10 is a good budget-friendly content-consumption device out of the box when compared to other Windows 8 tablets. If buyers want to use the device as a PC content-creation unit, one would need to add an additional $99 annual Office365 subscription or other third-party web-based office productivity apps.

Quick Take

The HP Omni 10 is a lightweight tablet that works well as a content consumption device or as a companion to a workhorse PC for professional needs.

Bottom Line:

The HP Omni 10 is a good value tablet for content consumption and occasional content creation. However, to serve from being just a web surfing tablet, adding on a few extras like a Bluetooth keyboard and stand will allow the device to cross over from a pure consumer play into the realm of a basic business productivity tool.
