Apple’s second-generation mid-sized tablet is now available, and we have the iPad mini with Retina Display in our test lab.
The iPad mini 2 has a considerably higher resolution display than its predecessor, measuring in at 2048 x 1536 pixels. It stayed at 7.9-inches, however, so the pixel density went up to 326ppi.
The new model also has a considerably better processor: it uses an Apple A7 chip, which is over 5 times faster than the one in last year’s iPad mini.
